Beach Cleanups
July 5th @ La Jolla Shores - the DAY after....
This year we were able to cleanup the beach, together w/ the Park & Rec. crews, starting at
7am..By 9am, the beach looked spotless! If you'd like to help us get more active and organize

Check out all the cool prizes, raffle and silent auction items we had this year...... Due to the
awesome support from our many community sponsors, we were able to raise $5,000 for

Get Involved with the 2010 Menehune Contest We depend on all our club members for
hundreds of volunteer hours to host a successful event. We can always use extra help... Please join
us to assist w/ publicity, photography, underwriting, event program design, art contest coordination,
judging, tallying, BBQ, and raffle booth. Please Contact Stephanie Hoffman, our Contest Director, if
you or someone you know can lend a hand!. Our contest date is Saturday, April 17, 2010.

9th Annual Menehune Surf Contest The surf gods were smiling on our
event as La Jolla Shores, once again, produced sunshine and waves for what
turned out to be an awesome event - the Menehune Surf Contest and Gathering
of the Crew. The one day event hosted 180 contestants in shortboard,
longboard, and novice divisions for kids ages 18 & under. We also hosted
special heats for fun loving adults, including our "Moms of Groms" and club
member divisions. Thanks to all your support, we raised over $5,000 to benefit
local charities. Please check out our sponsor page to see all the cool stuff
donated by our sponsors, whose support allows us to give back! We now have
the official contest RESULTS posted ...Mahalo!
